Updated Bible Comparison

A few months ago, I posted a comparison between the Inspire Bible and the Beautiful Word Coloring Bible. Well, today I'm here to post an updated version of that post. I'm including the Inspire and Beautiful Word as well as the newly released Message Canvas Bible and the Promises of God creative Journaling Bible. For the duration of this post, I will be using BW for Beautiful Word, Inspire for the Inspire Bible, Canvas for the Message Canvas Bible and Promises for the Promises of God Creative Journaling Bible.

Here is a basic list going over the main differences in each Bible:
BW

  • total pages 1456
  • Translation: NIV
  • Coloumns: one
  • Red letter? No
  • Total illustrations: 456
  • Page color: white
  • Index? Artists only
  • Publisher: Zondervan
Promises
  • Total pages: 1103
  • Translation: MEV
  • Coloumns: two
  • Red letter? Yes
  • Total illustrations: 103
  • Page color: white
  • Index: none
  • Publisher: Passio
Canvas
  • Total pages: 1509
  • Translation: Message
  • Coloumns: one
  • Red letter? No
  • Total illustrations: 285
  • Page color: cream
  • Index? Illustrated verses and topical verse guide
  • Publisher: Tyndale
Inspire
  • Total pages: 1505
  • Translation: NLT
  • Coloumns: one
  • Red letter: no
  • Total illustrations: 409
  • Page color: cream
  • Index? Illustrated verses
  • Publisher: Tyndale
All of these bibles have lined margins with one minor exception: in Promises, the left hand margin is not lined, while the right hand margin is. I am a terrible judge of type size, but they are all very easy to read. Promises is probably a tiny bit smaller in type size due to its double column nature. Now for some pictures:
